Our Wedding!! July 19, 2008

Most people/friends looked at me funny when they found out how in advance I started to plan my wedding...but any good organized planner knows, you start WAY ahead of time. That's how you perfect your event!! It was quite a bit of work, research, and some yelling at my mom and fiance but I planned and revealed the wedding of my dreams! Now let me tell you, I was never one that was really interested in having a huge wedding or getting all picky about flowers. In fact we were supposed to go away, but after that changed I figured, if I'm going to plan a wedding here, I might as well do it RIGHT! I wanted something outdoor! Outdoor weddings and tent receptions are quite popular amongst many couples today especially celebs! I didn't want the typical hall wedding and ceremony...I wanted something different.

Another advise that a good planner will give you is have entertainment. As exciting as weddings may sound...well they can get boring at times. Especially with long speeches! So I decided to throw in some dancers! We had it all, the full 9 yards! A horse and carriage, white doves, a steel pan, slide show, Caribbean dancers, a belly dancer and of course my husband I did a salsa dance!! Overall I was quite happy with the turn out and man was I happy when it was all over!

Oh and one more thing, try not to tell the whole world about all the details of your wedding, leave some for a nice surprise!

Thanks to Mo from Mango Studios who took these wonderful photos!

My handsome hubby!

Moi!
Abby was so good, even when the flies were getting in her face!! Abby Lane Horse & Carriage.

I absolutely loved these dresses, thanks Bari Jay!

When it came to flowers I really wanted a modern look, so instead of choosing the typical flower arrangements, I decided to go with a flower ball in a glass vase instead! My mom's good friend Afsoneh arranged all the flowers for me!!!!!

So I had to search high and low for a dress for our salsa dance and there were no white dresses that were salsaish around!! So I found this cute dress on Queen West at Fashion Crimes! And after trying to dance in heels and killing my toes, I decided to get ballet shoes!

Shayne & Daniel - June 21, 2008

Shayne and Daniel were so much fun to work with. They had both their ceremony and reception at 1 King West, and after a long day of putting things together, thanks to Lisa from 1 King West, my assistant Suzette and my husband we got it all done!! Also Afsoneh did a WONDERFUL job on the flowers!!! Shayne's mom Gail, she was so loving and I still keep in touch with her and Shayne!!

Love Chivari chairs. I recommend them to all my brides, they are modern and go with any decor!!

Afsoneh is truly amazing and incorporated Shayne's flowers and colours with branches and stones matching her theme colours!!

Man I was eating these all night!

My bridal shower!! May 25, 2008

Well..if you are a planner like me, you are most likely a control freak and like to plan every detail. And that's exactly what I did! I planned my own bridal shower! YUP!! It's the only way to get it done exactly how you want...I decided to have a purse theme shower. Instead of doing a sit down shower, I decided to do one where everyone can just sit anywhere and mingle. I used mini pink and green clutch purses as vases and had mini Daisys put in them as the center pieces for the head table where the food was to go...
I found really cute pink purse favour boxes and bought some daisy stones and used them to glue the purse shut. Inside the purses I had mini silver picture frames which had a thank you note where the picture is to be placed.I used to have an obsession with Coach and well I decided to have a coach purse cake made as well as some yummy cookies!! The cake was deeeelicious! I still have some in my freezer. The cake and cookies were courtesy of Marmalade Cake Company! Helen did a wonderful job!!!

Sahar & Paul - October 21, 2007

I loved working with Sahar and Paul! They were one of the most easy going couple's I've worked with. Paul and Sahar decided to incorporate both of their cultures, they started out with a ceremony at the church and continued on with a Persian Aghd at Crystal Fountain where their reception was being held! Thank you to Darryl http://www.darrylandvicky.com/who did such a great job of taking these photos.
